Hosting

Hosting is an Art

To us Italians, hosting a dinner party is a veritable art.

According to our millenary tradition, our guests are sacrosanct.

That is why we care for every tiny details, from the selection of the finest dinnerware to the seating arrangements and the courses of our meals. One thing is certain, though, elegance is not pretentiousness, it is actually simplicity: an effortless blend of the finest details and gestures with the kindness and grace that make each guest feel at home.

The Italian art of hosting started in the Renaissance and was written down by the archbishop and writer Giovanni della Casa in 1551 in his book “Galateo”, which contains precious rules and suggestions and also funny anecdotes.

At Italia I Love You we continue this tradition with our priceless expert: Donna Dedè in Rome who share with us her lifetime knowledge of entertaining Italian-style.
