F.A.Q.

Q: What is Italia I Love You?
A: Italia I Love You is the first all-inclusive service that provides the most authentic Italian experience in the comfort of your home: Party Planner

Q: How does this differ from an Italian food catering company?
A: There are lots of places that offer Italian food of some sort, but we know that feeling like you’re in Italy goes way beyond just the food on your plate. It’s how you are treated, the sounds of Italian music or singers, the aromas in the air, feeling like you look your best. It’s also about recipes that are traditional and not Americanized adaptations such as “spaghetti and meatballs” (nor meatballs the size of baseballs). We specialize in crafting the authentic experience and allowing you to host your guests in your own home in a way you will all think of as unforgettable.

Q: How expensive is a party?
A: Our parties offer high quality products, preparation and presentation. Our highest-end parties can incorporate lots of features such as live singers, musicians, floral designers, hair stylists and other options to turn a person’s penthouse dining rooms into the feel of a luxurious Italian villa. Going to that level could run into the high four-figures or more. Choosing different options such as buffet service can allow a party to be done for less while still offering elegance and style. That said, this service is not meant for bargain hunters. We feel it would be disingenuous to offer you lower-quality products just to try and cut corners.

Q: Is this available anywhere?
A: At the present time, we are focused on offering events in Manhattan, New York City.

Q: What if my apartment is too small or doesn’t have a dining area large enough for a party?
A: No worries. We have arrangements with several locations in Manhattan that our president has personally scouted to make sure they would be apropos for hosting a sensational Italian party.

Q: Is there a minimum or maximum size of party?
A: The minimum number of diners at a party is 8. The maximum is 30. Those numbers allow us to assure our high standards of quality for those in attendance.

Q: How much lead time do you need for a party?
A: The more involved the party, the more lead time a host will want to give us. The same way we want to deliver you an unforgettable experience we know you want to make sure it’s terrific as well. If you want to involve options such as an advance-of-party fashion styling for the hosts, particular ingredients to be flown in from Italy, and if your party has any special needs as far as dietary, the more time the better. You’ll also want to know that our team is personally involved with each party so the sooner you call, the better chance we’ll be available on your first choice dates. We anticipate more activity around times such as Carnevale, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Columbus Day and the Christmas season, so booking those times well in advance is warranted.

Q: Do you offer vegetarian/pescatarian option?
A: Of course! Much of the Italian culinary tradition is based on vegetables and/or fish. Please check our menus or write us at host@italiailoveyou.com, if you need some help.

Q: Can you do Kosher parties?
A: Not only can we, we have several under our belts. We have done such parties with rabbinical supervision to assure that all requirements were adhered to. It’s a little known fact that there is a large tradition of Jewish recipes in Roman history.

Q: Do you do corporate events?
A: On special request we do consider doing Italian-themed corporate events. We do suggest that businesses realize an “Italia I Love You” event is something more than getting platters of dishes from an Italian deli – comparing us and our prices with theirs is like apples and oranges.

Q: What if I want something above and beyond?
A: If you want to have something truly once in a lifetime, we have established agreements with some unique people and spots not typically approachable by the general public. For example, how would it feel to stage a proposal at Juliet’s Balcony in Verona, Italy? To have a wedding at Andrea Bocelli’s Farmhouse in Tuscany? Those are but a few of the unbelievably exclusive things we are able to arrange.

Q: How do I get in touch with you?
A: You can start selecting a potential menu and party options right on our website. You can also send us an email at: host@italiailoveyou.com and our Customer Happiness Team will get in touch with you, likely within the next business day if not sooner.

Q: Do you have a cancellation policy?
A: You will have a full refund if the event is cancelled within 6 days prior to the event. You can cancel your order and get back 60% within 4 days prior to the date of the event. If the cancellation happens 3 days before your booked event we will have to retain a 50% of the total amount. Within 2 days before the beginning of the event, there is no refund.
